Stumps have a way of just sitting there. Mowing around them gets old fast, and they become a tripping hazard for kids, guests, anyone walking through the yard. They also attract insects and rot over time. Most homeowners put up with them way longer than they should.
Here's what we were working with - a mid-yard stump that had clearly been there a while, with surface roots and weedy growth spreading out around it. Not a massive job, but the kind of thing that genuinely bothers you every single time you look out the window.
We ground it down and cleaned up the area so the stump is completely gone below grade. What's left is a flat, level patch of fresh wood grindings that will break down naturally over time. That spot is now ready for grass seed, topsoil, or just left to fill in on its own. No more obstacle in the middle of an otherwise clean, well-kept yard.
Small jobs like this are worth doing right. Stump grinding is one of those things that looks simple but takes the right equipment and know-how to get a clean, thorough result. We take the same approach whether it's one stump or a full land clearing situation - get in, do it properly, leave the yard better than we found it.
If you've got a stump sitting in your yard that you've been ignoring, it's easier to deal with than you think. Give us a call and we'll take care of it.
